How Solo Cruising Became “My Thing”
When Covid first started it made me realize that waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to say YES to traveling with me all of the previous years was no longer going to be my thing as Covid showed us all exactly how short life really is. After seeing so many people die, I made the decision to stop waiting and do something about it which is why I decided to create a Solo Cruisers group to connect people whole feel the same as I do and want to make a change. This group now is the 2nd largest solo cruisers group out there with currently 55k members and I am proud to say that I was a huge part of creating this new and growing trend of solo travel.
There are MANY misconceptions of solo traveling and I would like to address one major one here. Just because you travel solo doesn’t mean that you are single as I am not single and neither are a lot of my solo members. There is a huge difference in this solo community between the words ‘SOLO” and “SINGLE” as we are a solo group not a singles group. We do not promote dating in our group and if you are looking for dating or hookups, this is not the group for you and we refer those out to the Carnival Singles group haha.
My travel Agency is called Maulsby Travel Co and although we are a general travel agency and book trips for any and all, I myself am a Solo Cruise Specialist. Maulsby Travel is a top 2% travel agency as well as a top 25 agency with NCL out of over 11k agencies compared. We book solo cruises as well as hosted group cruises exclusively for our solo community. “Travel Solo Never Alone”
