Solo Travel
Travel Solo. Never Alone.
You don't have to wait for someone to say yes. Whether it's your first time sailing on your own or your fifteenth, I'll plan a solo cruise that fits you — and connect you to a community of thousands who travel the same way.
"Travel Solo, Never Alone."
I stopped waiting — and never looked back
For years I waited for someone to say yes to traveling with me. When Covid hit, it made one thing painfully clear: life is short, and waiting wasn't going to be my thing anymore.
So I stopped waiting and did something about it. I started a Solo Cruisers community to connect people who felt exactly the same — and it grew into one of the largest solo cruising groups out there, tens of thousands of members strong.
"I'm proud to say I was a huge part of creating this new and growing trend of solo travel."
Today I'm a Solo Cruise Specialist with Maulsby Travel Co. We're a full-service agency and we book trips for everyone — but solo cruising is my heart and my specialty. Curious how it started? Read how solo cruising became my thing.
A specialist who actually does this
I don't just sell solo cruises — I sail them, and I lead a community of people who do too. That means real answers about cabins, single supplements, dining, and what it's actually like onboard alone.
Agency rankings and community size as of June 2026.
Single-supplement savvy
I know which lines and sailings treat solo travelers fairly — and how to find solo cabins and reduced supplements when they exist.
Built-in community
Sail on your own and still have a crew. Our hosted sailings mean familiar faces at dinner whenever you want them.
A real person to call
No call-center roulette. You get me — before, during, and after your cruise — at no extra cost over booking direct.
However you want to do it

Solo cruising, answered
Will I actually be alone on the ship?
Only as alone as you want to be. You get your own cabin and the freedom to do your own thing — but with our hosted sailings and community, there are friendly faces for dinner, shore days, or a drink whenever you'd like company.
Do I have to be single to travel solo?
Not at all. Solo isn't single. Plenty of our solo cruisers are married — they just love traveling on their own terms. This is a solo community, not a dating or singles group.
What about the single supplement — won't sailing alone cost double?
Sometimes solo travel carries a supplement, but it varies a lot by cruise line and sailing. Part of my job is finding the lines, ships, and dates that treat solo travelers fairly — including dedicated solo cabins where they exist.
Is solo cruising safe?
Cruising is one of the most comfortable ways to travel on your own — a secure ship, staff who know you, and a built-in community if you want it. I'll walk you through what to expect so you board with confidence.
Does booking with you cost more than booking direct?
No. You get a specialist and a real person to call, at no extra cost over booking the cruise yourself.
What if it's my very first solo trip?
That's my favorite kind of client. I'll help you pick a first sailing that's easy to love, and you'll have both me and the community in your corner the whole way.
